After writing, there is little I enjoy more than talking with readers about my writing and/or any specific novel I have written. If you belong to a book club, church group, service organization or if your business is looking for a motivational speaker to bring a spark into your workplace and your employees, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I charge no honorarium. My travel expenses are my own. My privilege is to talk to your group about the many amazing things I have learned as I traveled the world as part of our great military and the things I have written or will write about our great servicemembers and veterans.

July 18, 2026: John will be at Hoot and Honey Book Store located at 358 River St., Manistee, MI at 1:00 PM. He will be speaking about Finding Innocence.

July 19, 2026: Visit John at the Detroit Bookfest located at the Eastern Market at 2934 Russell St., Detroit, MI from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a free event and John will have all books available for purchase and signing.

July 21, 2026: John will be presenting to the Scott Club about The Road to Empire at 1:00 PM. The Scott Club is located at 652 Phoenix St., South Haven, MI. This event is open to the public.

July 22, 2026: John will be at the Traverse Area District Library located at 610 Woodmere Ave., Traverse City, MI at 6:00 PM. He will be talking about his newly released book, Finding Innocence.

July 23, 2026: Visit John at Loutit District Library located at 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven, MI at 6:00 PM. He will be speaking about his newest release, Finding Innocence.

July 25, 2026: Stop by Arcadia Daze from 10:00AM to 4:00 PM located in Arcadia, MI. This is a free event for the individuals and families alike. John is looking forward to meeting folks and signing books.

August 6, 2026: John will be at the Hart Area Public Library located at 415 State St., in Hart, MI at 7:00 PM. John will be speaking to the Page Turners Book Club about his newest book, Finding Innocence.

August 8, 2026: Join John at Onekama Days located around town in Onekama, MI. This is a free, family-friendly event and John will have books for purchase and signing from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

August 13, 2026: Join John for a panel discussion regarding the in’s and out’s of self-publishing your book. This even takes place at 6:00 PM at the Tamarack District Library located at 622 S. Lincoln St., Lakeview, MI. This event is open to the public.

October 10, 2026: Visit John at the Michigan History Authors Symposium located at the Battle Creek Regional Museum located at 307 Jackson St. W., Battle Creek, MI from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. He will be signing books and have them available for purchase.

November 21, 2026: Join John for Christmas in Onekama at the Artisan Market located at Onekama High School at 5016 Main St., Onekama, MI. This event will take place between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM and John will have books available for signing and purchase. Books make great gifts for the holiday season!

Past Events:

September 6, 2025: Visit John at the Cadillac Book Festival in Downtown Cadillac at the Commons Market across from City Park from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a book festival featuring local authors, books, and other crafts and is free and open to the public to attend.

August 30, 2025: Stop by the Morning Coffee Break with Veterans at Third Coast Boutique located at 342 River Street, Manistee, MI 49660 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. This is an exclusive book signing event with John Wemlinger and free to the public!

August 2, 2025: Stop by the Arts and Crafts Fair on Onekama's Main Street in front of the high school and say hello to John. He will be selling and signing his books as part of the town's annual summer festival, Onekama Days, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

July 26, 2025: John will be at Arcadia Days in Arcadia, MI from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  He will have all of his books for sale and signing. Stop by and say hello at this street arts and crafts fair, one of Michigan's best.

July 9, 2025: John will speak to the patrons of Pentwater Township Library, 402 Park Street, Pentwater, MI at 6:30 PM.  He will discuss his Michigan Notable book, The Cut, as well as the "how" and the “why" of his writing.

July 4, 2025: Per tradition, John will sign his books at The Bookstore, 330 Main Street, Frankfort, MI, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  If you've never been to Framkfort for their 4th of July parade and festivities, make this the year.  Then stop in this great independent bookstore and say hello to John.

June 20, 2025: At 11:00 AM, John will speak to the residents of Burcham Hills, 2700 Burcham Drive, East Lansing, MI. He will discuss his novels and the "how" and "why" of his writing.
